Drink More Water: The Hidden Key To Losing Weight, Taking Care Of Your Mind, And Boosting Your Metabolism.

water

When the body loses fluids , whether through sweating or low water intake, the risk of symptoms such as fatigue, low blood pressure, dizziness, confusion, or changes in urine color increases , warns Harvard Health Publishing.

But beyond avoiding dehydration, increasing your daily water intake can have a direct impact on appetite control, fat burning, digestive function , and mood, says Dr. Charlotte Norton, medical director of The Slimming Clinic.

Reduces the feeling of hunger

Drinking water before meals can be an effective way to reduce calorie intake.

“When the stomach fills with water, a signal is triggered to the brain that tells us we’re full. Furthermore, thirst is often confused with hunger,” explains Dr. Norton.

Stimulates metabolism

Various studies have shown that drinking around 500 ml of water can temporarily increase metabolic rate by up to 30%, which translates to greater calorie burning. “This thermogenic effect can promote weight loss,” the expert says.
